What we collect

SermonFoundry collects only what is necessary to provide and improve our service.

Email address

When you sign in, we collect your email address for authentication. We use magic-link authentication (passwordless), so no passwords are stored. Your email is used solely to send sign-in links and is never shared with third parties.

Generated sermon content

Sermon outlines you generate are stored in your personal library when you choose to save them. These saved sermons are associated with your account and are private to you. Anonymous generations (without signing in) are not saved.

Usage analytics

We collect basic usage information to understand how SermonFoundry is used, such as the number of sermons generated and AI processing costs. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we do not sell it to third parties or use it for advertising.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the sermon generation service
  • To authenticate you via magic-link email sign-in
  • To store your saved sermons in your personal library
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve the service
  • To monitor AI processing costs for operational purposes

Cookies and sessions

SermonFoundry uses session cookies only to maintain your signed-in state. These cookies are essential for the service to function and are persisted only for the duration of your session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Data storage and processors

Your data is hosted securely on Neon Postgres and deployed through Vercel. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. AI sermon generation is processed through a Cloudflare Worker proxy. No payment information is collected or stored — the service is currently free.

Your rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account and all associated sermon content through the application interface. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

Children's privacy

SermonFoundry is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application or via email. Your continued use of SermonFoundry after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
